Teaching — UTSA Neurofeedback Program

Dr. Jones serves as Director of the Neurofeedback Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in the Department of Counseling. The program integrates classroom instruction, laboratory training, and supervised clinical practice.

Graduate Training

The UTSA Neurofeedback Program prepares master’s and doctoral counseling students to integrate neurofeedback and psychophysiological assessment into evidence-informed practice. Coursework addresses the BCIA blueprint, quantitative EEG foundations, and ethical practice in neurotherapy.

Research and Clinical Application

Current research in the program focuses on the use of neurofeedback in the treatment of anxiety and posttraumatic stress, with an emphasis on careful outcome measurement and long-term follow up. Students participate in data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings.

Collaboration and Mentorship

Dr. Jones mentors students in developing research projects, conference presentations, and dissertations related to neurofeedback and QEEG. He also collaborates with colleagues across disciplines to explore new applications of neurofeedback in clinical and academic settings.
